I bought this product with high hopes. I knew that most Hard Candy products were disappointing, but I still loved the brand. The product I purchased was purple in color. When used alone, the product failed to appear on my eyelashes and instead caused them to stick together embarrassingly. Over time, I discovered that the only way to get somewhat satisfying results from this product was to first use a regular mascara to give my lashes volume and length, then, after it dries, apply the lash tinsel mascara over it in multiple coats. Then I couldn't blink hard without getting lash tinsel under my eyes. I did get some compliments, which is very nice, but it was nearly impossible to see unless light hit the glitter in the mascara.
The second product I experienced was silver in color. This product was actually satisfying and appeared very noticeable. Although Still wet and bunch inducing, this product was very pleasing for the eyes. I actually used it for my appearance in a play. The lash tinsel glittered nicely for each cast member who used it under the spotlight.
Both products, which I would consider in a separate category than mascara, gave a subtle glitter that enhanced the eyes, although one much more than the other.
Keep in mind, both products did show up, but one more satisfying and easier to use than the other.
