This is the second lighting unit for my reef tank in less than a year, first one caught on fire the first day used, retailer sent a new unit within a few days, second unit just shutdown on March 7th for unknown reason, I contacted the retailer where I bought unit and I was told to contact the manufacture which I did the same day. I spoke with CSA Ted we ran through troubleshooting he came to the conclusion that it was both ballast in the unit and I would have to contact Sunpark the manufacture, I did the same day, I forward a copy of the buy receipt both to current and sunpark on March 8th. I was told via a telephone conversation with Ted both sockets and ballast were being mailed that day, and I questioned about the ballast because it was a different company, Ted assured me that he spoke with Sunpark and it was being shipped. Sockets arrived but no Ballast, by this time a week has passed I have NO lighting on my reef tank, I have over $3000.! 00 worth of corals that died because of the lack of lighting. I contacted Current and Sunpark via email on March 14th, Sunpark responded back they have no record of any conversation with CSA Ted. I contacted Current for a second time questioned that a Supervisor contact me regarding this issue, in response Ted contacted me via the telephone not a supervisor and I stated to him why was he being dishonest with me about contacting Sunpark and he responded “I never said I did†Please keep in mind I assumed he did, he told me this on March 7th. I would in no way jeopardize thousand of DOLLARS that I have invested I would of bought some type of lighting to keep my investment alive, Ted thought it was amusing so I finished the conversation. I was contacted by Nicole Brewer on March 15th, Operational Manager. Sending me warranty information, I clarified I’m aware of the warranty, that is not the issue, my compliant is why was I given information that was not right and I have total lose of my reef tank, (COPY OF WARRANTY MS. BREWER SENT ME)
(Current USA, Inc. Warrants this product opposed to defects in materials and workmanship of a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail buy and is not transferable.

Warranty on all Products, including Aquariums, is limited to replacement of the product and does not cover fish loss, personal injury, property loss or direct, incidental or consequential hurt arising to the use of this product.

Note: Current-USA, Inc. One-Year Limited Warranty does not cover hurt caused by the following: freezing of the evaporator, improper installation, saltwater corrosion, electrical surges, or thermostat failure or modifications.

If you learn a defect, please see your retail store or point of buy. Current USA, Inc. Will, at it’s option, repair or replace the product at no charge to you, provided you return it during the warranty period. It is required that you present this warranty card and a copy of the bill of sale as proof of original buy date, in the event the product needs repairs, within the warranty period. Please see your dealer for return options and warranty replacement parts. This warranty applies only to products by or for Current USA, Inc. That can be identified by trade name, or logo affixed to them. Current-USA, Inc. Does not warrant any products that are not Current-USA, Inc. Products.

This warranty does not apply if the product has been hurt by accident, abuse, misuse or misapplication or if the product has been modified without the written permission of Current-USA, Inc.; or if any Current-USA, Inc. Logos have been removed or defaced.

I have additionally requested the email address for Mr. Chien F Chao, CEO & Secretary. I stated to Ms. Brewer that he needs to be aware of this issue, she refused to release that information to me, I strongly feel Current needs to take responsibility for their actions.
