No refund/exchange for hamster cage

Store-sold me a hamster cage which was ruined from the hamster: she got out three times. I'd the bill and also the crate went in inside a month of purchasing the crate plus they stated they might not do anyhthing.

I named petsmart and they said they'd refund me or exchange for another crate

Petco doesn't care if your pets will get hurt through avoiding.
