Sherlean Hunter of Hunters Ridge Exotics is a "breeder" of Bengal cats. She sold me a adult male cat for my breeding program. The cat arrived with intestinal parasites. I had an echo cardiogram done on the cat as I do this on all of my cats. HCM is a heart disease that is found in Bengals sometimes. The board certified cardiologist that performed the echo found the cat to have a grade 3 heart murmur and a tricuspid valve regurgitation. The cat was deemed as equivocal and should not be used for breeding. I was told I would get a refund or a replacement cat. I returned the sick cat and have yet to get any of my money back or a replacement cat. I have since learned that many of the cats in this same line have heart problems. Also Sherlean Hunter's own vet diagnosed the heart murmur one month before the cat was sold to me. Basically my money has been stolen and Hunters Ridge Bengals is still selling cats/kittens from this line that have heart issues. The buying public needs to be made aware. There are many good ethical breeders but Hunters Ridge is not one of them!
