Nutro products offered a rebate for purchasing a 3lb bag of Max Cat to receive the cost of the bag of cat food funded in a rebate check. I purchased the cat food and mailed it out the same day. Today, May 8 I received my check in the mail for $8.00. The cat food receipt clearly states that my purchase was $8.49 with a $. 79 sales tax. I can understand if I am responsible for the $. 79 sales tax, but why did this company only send me a rebate check for $8.00 when I paid $8.49 for the product. Fortunately I made copies of the receipt, barcode, and even front and back of the rebate form itself. It clearly states that I would "Receive: A check for the cost of the bag". I did not. Nutro products did include a $2.00 off any size bag of MAX Cat with my deficient rebate check. It is highly unlikely that I will use this coupon since this company seems to be dishonest with their bait-and-switch tactics.
