I bought two adult dogs from Wendy Carter for $3,600. I sent her a deposit of $1,800 and she said she would arrange for shipping and it would be two to three weeks before they would ship. After a month of waiting, she said it would be another four to five weeks before they would ship. I asked for my deposit back since she couldn't deliver as promised. She got really nasty with me. She advertised the dogs for sale and found a new buyer and received a deposit from them. Then, she wouldn't send me my deposit back because she had already spent their deposit and of course my deposit. After repeated conversations, she finally sent me $1,000 (which she borrowed from her mom). She said I would get the rest when the dogs were picked up and the balance paid for by the new buyers. It's been over two months, the dogs are gone, my moneys gone, and Wendy Carter will not answer my phone calls or e-mail messages. Wendy is a breeder of Newfoundland puppies in Michigan.
