Billing Dispute 5 Years Later? Really?

I recently had my Direct TV Service disconnected.in doing so, I paid my final bill in full and returned the cards that were inside the receivers, as they had requested I do. A week later, I got another $28.00 that showed up on my account in billing. When I called, they said that when they swept the cards I had returned there were movies on there from 2007 that I was never charged for and that they are now billing me for. Yes, this is 2012!!! I have no idea if those movie rentals were mine (sorry I can't remember 5 years later). I also have no idea that I haven't already paid for them 5 years ago. If they claim that I owed them they should have billed me long before now. This is just Direct TV's way of sticking disconnected customers with a few final charges. Furthermore, if you are an online customer it forces you to keep your credit card info on file, so that if you don't pay what they say you owe they can go in and automatically debit your account! So a credit card dispute is then your only out. This is extremely dishonest, and a sorry sorry way to run a business! I have spoken to a supervisor this morning who still refuses to remove these charges from my account.
