White Digital Media had to change their name to WDM Group because the complaints were so overwhelmed from advertisers in the crappy online magazine and from former, and even current employees. Here's the thing with this organization, or any digital media who claims to be a news or executive life style magazine. If they actually took the time to be a credible news source reporting business news from around the world and high lighting companies in the industry in how their "Profiles". If they actually delivered what they said they were going to deliver with the "Digital Footprint" campaign it would mean something, but they don't. Or if they even try, its not make anyone thinks.

The only benefit to be featured in the magazines is if that featured company wants a digital brochure to upload to their website, thats it, thats all. Now any company can hire even an entry level graphic designer to do this.instead how WDM generate revenue is through advertising, over priced advertising in a magazine that no one is reading. Check out Alexa.com and see for yourself, and pay attention to the time spent on each site, its low, maybe a minute or so per visit. Thats awful.

What they do is shine up bullshit. Its a smoke and mirrors show. They are trained magicians. The other posts on what they do are accurate. They use leverage. Key word here... Leverage. They take advantage and make their living fooling stupid people, new Presidents, or CEO's of companies, or new marketing reps that are impressed by the look of the website or magazine, they don't know any better. They fool stupid people, and after doing this for 4 years or so, they are still in business, so it tells me theres alot of stupid people out there. And thats what they want.

They call an Association in several industries, tell them they are doing an "industry focus", give the Association a "Digital Footprint" campaign and then say they want to create synergy in the focus and want the opportunity to highlight some of the Associations members. Members are called, they create what than "angle" and highlight who ever is dumb enough to think this is really of value. They give the featured company a "Digital Footprint" at no cost, but once again, to create "synergy" they want to try to keep the advertising specific to the company, so they ask for their suppliers list, and then sell over overpriced adverts to them. Its a complete cash grab. They use buzz words to fool the dumb people within the Associations and featured reports, and then use leverage from them to charge the supplier over priced adverts.

Having looked into the digital footprint they offer, its really nothing. Its basically a digital brochure they give back to the featured company. But they try to make as much money as they can trying to sell advertising space into it. Even if one little shitty 1,500.00 ad is sold, they produce it, they are banking on one feature to make as much as it can. The Footprint is the scam because its nothing. Besides a brochure, the benefits of their campaign will do nothing for the featured companies ROI. They say the benefits are that they provide the following.

1. Company profile into 2 magazines that goes out to C-Level executives in the country, the industry leaders. Not true, they get the emails of the executives in the industry but that doesn't mean that executive is reading it.

2. Archived on the website for 12 months maximizing the exposure - Big deal! How easy is to leave it on the website for a year, go look at any of their websites, it cluttered with crap, good luck trying to find anything on there. Again they use buzzwords to create an illusion.

3. Press Releases - In the years worked their I have never seen a press release introducing the new issue. I asked my boss one day to see one and he looked at me like he was a deer caught in the headlights. No press releases are sent, and even if they are, who cares you can pay 80 dollars and have any press release send to thousands of media outlets. It doesnt mean they are being read.

4. Social Media campaign - Heres another gem, they say they promote the feature on their Linkedin, Facebook and twitter accounts... I checked, they don't. I even hear they hire staff to go on these sites and "like" and communicate back and forth with each other to give the illusion like people are commenting and posting.

5. SEO - This is when I laugh the most. I have friends who make a living doing SEO and know how its done, WDM doesn't do it. They probably have some crappy little software that they run the article through, but they say its done for 12 months. Its not.

90 percent of what comes out of their mouth is over exaggerated.

The sales process is again using leverage, pressuring the supplier to get involved. They use disrespectful tactics to do this. Anything from saying "we have a design meeting with the guys and wanted to let them know who's getting involved" Untrue. No design meeting take place.

The company is run by dinosaurs, just trying to shake the money tree as long as they can. They are so out dated they seem to think the WDM systems are still meaningful. They dont realize that people have caught on, that after you peel back they layers its really nothing but they still plug away, fooling dumb people. Who has time to read a 700 page magazine anyway... Each issue in every sector is 700 pages long? The magazine has no flow, its all over the place its actually funny to look at. Hell I don't read it, I have been on the website twice in the time I worked there.

The higher ups there, including Glen White himself knows its shit. I hear he has started Business Friend as a current employee has sent me the beta testing program as they told their employees to try it out... The verdict... Complete shit. "Hey lets take linkedin, twitter and facebook and combine then to start a business social network"... Great idea... 7 years ago Glen.

Old man is a dinosaur and has dropped over 100k into it... What a waste. WDM is a cash grab. Nothing more. I have never worked at a workplace where there is so much negativity. The entire process from start to finish is leverage and lies.
