Bill Almost $40 Higher Than Agreed After Six Days

I subscribed to Direct TV only 6 days ago. I received my bill today and it is almost 40.00 more than was agreed upon. Tried to talk to CS and got nowhere. Is there a time period I am able to cancel without penalty?
