I am very upset with Apple and how they have handled the 3g iPhone issues post OS4 update

Since the OS4 update our phones performance has drastically declined. I have spent several hours speaking to their support, trying everything they have suggested and still our phones are not performing as they had prior to the update. Not only are our phones not working as they had before but due to the instructions of a ill equipped support agent I lost my entire calendar. This OS update should have been tested more extensively on 3G phones prior to release. Customers could have then been provided with a warning prior to updating to the new OS. Apple needs to take ownership of this problem and provide with an update that will fix all the issues (OS 4.1 did not resolve all the issues) or provide a simple easy way to go back to the OS3, including installed apps. This is across the board with iPhone 3G phones that have been updated to OS4; I have several friends and colleagues awaiting a resolution. I have tried the Apple discussion board, Technical Support, and emailing Apple directly to no avail. We planned on updating to iPhone 4's when eligible but I can not see doing that unless this issue is addressed and resolved. G
