Direct TV needs to be shut down!

I can't say enough bad things about Direct TV. When I ordered service, I told him that I was really only interested because my kids wanted cartoon stations. So I wanted the lowest package at the lowest price. He offered me a package for 29.99, four rooms for free (no rental fees either), DVR, 18 month service agreement, and coupons that would come in the mail that would take off an additional $10 for 6 months. Needless to say, the only thing I got was the ability to view Direct TV. I got 3 rooms all of which I paid for, 24 month service agreement, no coupons and a $42 bill. AND, they want to change my package because the one they offered me is only available overseas... Which will raise my bill to $52. I wanted to cancel and of course they want to charge me the cancellation fees that will be automatically drafted from my card even though I did not give permission. They say it is all in the service agreement. I spoke with a manager that gave me a reference# that would lower my payment to $32 for the next 12 months. The next bill again was $42. When I called, they said they could not honor it. I think they should be shut down for fraud and Michael Moore should be contacted to do a documentary. These blogs are not enough to get the word out to enough people to shut them down. I, myself plan to do just that. If anyone is interested in helping please email [email protected]
