Greedy tricksters - Awful Customer Service

I'm all about contracts I know I signed up for an 18 month contract in January 08. At the time I was living in Seattle and didn't anticipate moving to LA in December 08. I told them my moving plans in December and was aware that I would have to pay the cancellation fee but customer service said I DON'T since I'm moving to LA and I told them that I'm not sure if I could get direct TV at the apartment I'm moving to because the landlord has rules. So the cust. Rep goes "let's put your service on suspension until we find out" Jan 2,09 - I call them back saying "ok it's for sure I can't get direct tv cause the landlord has rules and there's nothing in my power i can do to get direct tv" customer rep says "ok call back in 7-10 days to find out the status of your investigation" apparently they're investigating whether or not I can get in my area! Even though i just explained that THE LANDLORD said we couldn't get anything else. I even offered the landlords number so they just drop it! It's only $100 freakin dollars to them! But to me its alot. I call back 7 days later and they said the fee is VALID because my account was on suspension and I canceled my account on the 2nd?! Wtf!!! First I was told it was on suspension then I was told they were going to investigate and now they're saying the fee is valid because I'm choosing to cancel my account while it was on suspension?! Bogus! So greedy! Now they have me transferred to all these "specialists?" like who the heck am I talking to if NOT a specialist? The janitor??? Covering for someone?! Then they transferred me to the CRG dept which is apparently the "customer special attention" group. But when I call this is how it goes "how can i help you?" i go, "i just called multiple times and a rep keeps saying how can i help you but then when i explain my situation they say the system is down call back later, so is your system down? Are you able to help me?" and the rep goes "... Yes it is down please call back in an hour." uhhhhhhhhhh ok. OH and they say their little schpeel "thank you for callng direct tv i'm glad i was able to help you today." LOL! Uhhh without even thinking... Help me with WHAT!?
