I have had an accident insurance policy with Allstate since 2004. If I missed 3 full days from work because of an injury, I was entitled to 1 month of benefits. They denied my claim because I was being treated by a doctor for my injury, but I did not miss any time from work. I have been off work about 8 months now, when I really need the money, and they denied my appeal. The main reason I took out a policy like this was in case something like this happened.
