Website Login Failed and Late Payment Added to Account

Citibank accountonline.com would not allow me to log in with my correct username and password. I called customer service and no one was available for 3 days. They added a late payment to our account. The customer service representative told me I could have made a payment from my checking account over the phone for $14.95.
