I think the credit bureaus are "fraud". Our lives depend on them but they don't listen. Any creditor can say whatever they want, but when the consumer disputes it, all they do is believe the creditor, even if you send proof. Example: I have a creditor that states I owed a balance that was incorrect. The account was closed at consumer request but they listed it as creditor request. I sent proof of certified mail showing the disputes with the creditor, and the credit companies still defended the creditors.
We have the right to request proof, and the credit companies should respect the proof sent by the consumer no matter what the creditor states. It's amazing how they defend the creditor. The creditor has billions of customers and will never look back on a consumer. How can they protect the creditor instead of a consumer fighting for what's correct? The scary part is that our life and progress, such as purchasing a home or car, depends on these reports. The state statutes that defend the consumer should be carried out. If they are in violation, how can we fix the report accordingly? Who can help us without having to pay attorney fees?
