Caller demanded three $500 Green Dot cards for a prize

I, Tiffinnie, received a call saying my number had been randomly drawn and I was the winner of $1.5 million and a new Mercedes-Benz, that GEICO would pay for the insurance for the first year, and that Shell would give me free gas for the next 6 months. Fitzroy asked if I had a valid driver's license and ID, which to me is the same thing, lol. But in order for me to get the prizes I had to go to the nearest Walgreens and get what he called a receiver's card, which in fact is a Green Dot prepaid credit card. The catch was that I was to buy 3 of the $500 cards. He asked me how long it would take me to get to a Walgreens, and I told him about 15 minutes. He is waiting right this minute for me to call him back and let him know that I've bought them, but he is so impatient he is calling my phone like crazy right now.

Instead, I drove straight home and looked up the name of the business. Thank God, because I've won things before in my past and never had to pay anything, except maybe taxes upon receiving the prizes myself in my hands. So needless to say, they did not get the money from me. So, people, if you get a call and it sounds too good to be true, it probably is a scam. The company is CANADIAN CASH AWARDS COMPANY, or another name they use is AMERICAN CASH AWARDS COMPANY. They are totally scammers and prey on people's dreams of becoming rich. Please don't let it be you that they get. Thank you, Tiffinnie
