We think we were booked for a vacation to Puerto Vallarta, leaving Sacramento on 5-21-10 through 5-30-10 and staying at Casa Dona Susana. We received an email stating that our flights had changed to depart almost 24 hours later than planned, and from a 12-hour flight to a 24-hour overnight flight through Guadalajara. Our return flight had also changed to leave Puerto Vallarta earlier. When we called Yahoo Travel, we were told we had to straighten that out directly with the airlines ourselves.
We also wanted to upgrade our room to a balcony room, but we could not use the confirmation number that was emailed to us on their automated system.
The prices advertised are almost too good to be true. Maybe they are too good to be true. Has anyone else experienced these issues with booking flights and hotels through the Yahoo Travel link? I really thought Yahoo lending its name to the travel site would be a safe bet. Only time will tell. Oh, and by the way, the only thing that is for sure is the charges on our credit card statement.
