I followed the rebate instructions to the letter but was told UPC code I sent was invalid. How come? There's only one UPC box that came with the product. When I asked via online chat Rebates HQ, they cannot explain it. They had me waiting for over 30 minutes to tell me they don't have a clue.
No legitimate reason.
Rebates are basically a scam. They entice you into buying a product but will almost always find a way or an excuse a to tell you that will not get the rebate. For crying out loud Fry's had it advertised and they even printed me rebate receipt so the point of sale system even recognizes that the product I purchase is valid. What a waste of time and makes you very angry!
Well I am not taking this lying down. I will report and submit a complaint to my state's District Attorney and maybe the FBI. This switch and bait scam pure and simple. Yes and the power of social media.
Please check if you are dealing with REBATE HQ. If you are return the product. You will never get your rebate. Waste of time.
