Charged for "damaged" DVR

After 5 years our DVR was providing people issues. I am aware that technology do not last forever. We were billed $64.00 for "delivery and handling" to get a new DVR. I had been advised to deliver the aged DVR in the container the brand new one arrived in. I did so this. 8 weeks later my statement claims I owe $175.00 to get a "broken DVR". I sent Meal and requested them about that cost. I told them the DVR wasn't broken it had been simply aged and worn-out. To my shock I obtained an answer that floored me. I had been informed the specialist noted the DVR was broken from pet hair. I responded that people didn't possess any animals and so this statement was difficult. I told them when they discovered pet hair within the DVR then perhaps it just happened within their factory. I expected them to get rid of the cost or show-me evidence of this intended pet hair. 1 week with no reaction from their website. Sent them again today-so we will discover what goes on. I'd a sense I had been not the first person it has occurred to and so I did a research and found this website. This justification should be one on the listing of several they use within order to ask you for ultimately for the "free DVR" you receive whenever you register. What an illegal organization. I observed from different grievances they also make use of the "invasion of insects" being an explanation to ask you for for the "free" DVR. I suppose the next phase may be the BBB after which the Attorneygeneral. I will likely need to get notorized claims from people promising that people do not possess any animals. Unreal!
