After being with Direct TV for more than 7 years at one location, you would think when I disconnected I wouldn't be charged an early cancellation fee. I thought I would be able to reason with the lady while disconnecting my service. She seemed fine when I said how long I had been a customer.in fact, she never brought it up again.
Two weeks later, I get a bill for a 200 cancellation fee. First, my husband called. The woman could not and would not help or direct him to a supervisor after a lengthy conversation. I called back not once, not twice, not three times but four. Why, you ask? Becuase each rep seemed perfectly fine to help me and was very apologetic, but each time we got to the question of "well, did you upgrade equipment?" I would begin to answer no and relay that they had to replace their equipment that BROKE and replaced it with an OLD, USED receiver... Each one HUNG UP ON ME. Really? I will be calling back tonight. Oh and each rep asked me if I had sp[oken to a supervisor, too. Nope. I haven't because each time you hang up on me before getting me to the person that can take care of it. I do plan to file a report with the attorney general in both my state and in the state of KY where they are located.
