Terrible Customer Service

On January 4, I went to Expedia.com to get a flight and rental car. While on the site, I noticed an ad that said I could save $50-$100 by applying for and paying with a CitiBank credit card.

I applied and received email giving me a number to call. When I called, I was given an account number with an expiration date in 10 days. I used that card to pay for my flight and car.

The site rejected the card. Rather than use a different card, I left the site. Because I had tried o remember my expedia password, the next day (Jan 5) I received an email from expedia that said 1) My last visit to the site had been 1/10 and that I had zero itineraries.

With that mail, I went to American airlines and booked the flight.

On the 16th of January, I received the credit card I had applied for with a number to activate the card. Another mail on the same day was from the citibank fraud department telling me I had suspicious activity on the card. I called the fraud department to find that I had been charged $350. Dollars for two American Airlines flights on January 4th.

I have yet to get any mail from expedia with an itinerary number or any kind of confirmation. Expedia says that is not true, and checked their system log to prove that they had sent email. Sent or not, I have yet to receive any confirmation.

While I was on the phone with Expedia (for four hours last night), the agent I was talking to repeated my email several times then claimed that she was sending the itinerary to that email. She said she sent it three times. I still have not received it either to my regular mail or to my junk mail.

Here I am with two sets of tickets on the same flight, one was charged to my citibank card.

I have disputed the purchase because I had no confirmation from Expedia. Expedia won't cooperate.

At the very least why didn't I get the $50-$100 savings by using the card?

I am so frustrated. Citibank is being helpful; Expedia refuses to budge. Can you help?
