Four of us planned a visit to Ireland in May and we engaged Aer Lingus Vacation Store for the trip at the recommendation of Aer Lingus Airlines. The date had to be postponed to September for a medical emergency. After arrival in Ireland, we discovered our automobile insurance had been cancelled, and we were compelled to purchase it in Dublin at a higher price.
After the trip, Aer Lingus Vacation Store reimbursed only the amount that was over and above the original cost.in essence, the company forced us to pay for the insurance twice. They have refused to explain why the insurance was unilterally cancelled and have been unwilling to reimburse us for the service they eliminated.
