My wife received a on offer (free bahamas cruise for two in celebration of their introduction of their flagship) and also is awarded with a cheque of $1300 travel voucher with the vacation package asking her to call back within 72 hours to claim the cruise.
My wife made a phone call to find out how to redeem the check and that is when the pressure started. She told she will have to call back because her husband was travelling in the US and she was compelled to call me and see if i can confirm or else the offer expires.
When she called me with the agent on the line, I beleive the agents name was Ashley Tailor EN4663 who immediately transfered me to Donna Harrigan En1476. I asked what the vacation involves because I was on the road and I had not seen the mail that my wife has received and that my wife and I was under pressure from the Kids to arrange a vacation outing
for them for the upcoming March break school holidays. She verbally assured me there was no catch in the deal, this is a
genuien large company that is offering this deal package first to Canadaians and that you had 18 months to redeem. I said I do not want 18 months I want to take advantage of this offer for much break to take my two kids with me and my wife. She asked me the ages of the kids and said in addition to the $915 that she wanted us to pay, there will be extra 129 dollrs for each child and gratuity (tips) and nothing more.
And I insisted on asking her if there is any catch she never mentioned the seminar for attending time share sessions that we were later subjected to attend. I asked if the package was inclusive of meals and transportation she confrimed that and said in addition the willoffer me a car for seven days during our for stay in ft lauderdale and orlando.
She went ahead to offer me ste room on the top floor with balcony and ocean view if I will give her my credit card number and the other chrages to be paid when we called to set up the reservations. And she went ahead to urge me to call right away if i want the March break vacations for my kids becauase the bookings a getting full quickly.
I repeatedly asked her if there was any ctach, and that my sons will be included with the payment of $129 extra each for the two kids whose ages ranges from 16 years to 25 years. She said yes there will be no problem... And then I said to her bookings are getting full quickly as you said what if when I call and there is no booking available she said we will create your own web sight which will send it you confirming everything we agreed to here and we will mail you a package by post where it will confirm everything we spoke to and agreed to and that you can always cancel within 30days for a full refund without any catch. And that is when I gave them my credit card number but since the offer was in my wifes name, they asked me to get out of the line and allow her to call in the credit number and charge the $915. That they were asking immediately to be billed for us to secure the vacation package offered which included 2 nights in ft lauderdale, 2 nights in orlando, 2 nights in bahama cruise, 2 nights in bahamas, 7 day car rental by Alamo with unlimited mileage and buy two ailine tickets and receive free voucher for the other two.
Third day I got back home and ask to check the so called exclusive website setup for us I was profoundly disappointed. I phone the caribbean cruise line seeking to get reservations and after 3 hours on the telephine with them what i learnt is they denied certain things that were confirmed to meverbally by phone and changed the whole package if I opted to pay more money. Because I was under pressure from both my kids and these travel agents i was talking to I offered to work ith them if
the honored the basic of what was initial agreed to. That my children will be included in the package and that they will provide separate rooms for them with full meals. And that I was prepared to spend a day only at the bahamas since they now changed th e package on us. I was prepared to pay for their meals in orlando but when it came to the pay for two airline and get the other two free offer they declined claiming this offer was only available for US citizens. And then they will make the two night stay in ft lauder day only a day stay and the cabin in the cruise will be inside cabin not the state luxurious ocenaview on top floor that was initially promised. And tha is whe I decided this is too much about turn and i immediateluy asked them to cancel the reservations and refund my money.
Thats when they started being aggressively rude and obstinate. Threatening me that I will never get the refund back.
So far from the $915 I paid they have refunded me $219. They have refused to refund me the balance claiming I made the
reservations and cancelled it immediately. Secondly i paid the extra $258for my 2 children which they refunded me
in total. Thirdly i paid $134.99 for insurance and my kids meals at ft lauderdale and orlando with meals which they only refunded $110.00. And so i asking them to refund me $630.99.
