Air America Caribbean and it's owner Philip Andronicos are perpetuating a serious employment fraud at the very least. However, it appears that a serious aircraft and airline fraud is also ongoing. I went to this office and was told that their FIRST aircraft would be ready to operate in the fourth quarter of 2012. As time went by Mr. Andronicos repeatedly changed his story. The aircraft was broken, it was stuck in Europe due to legal and financial issues.
He also stated he had a 380 charter authority and a 135 certificate. He had hired a chief flight attendant who up and quit after not being paid. He told us we would have to pay for our own flight training. We determined there was no jet and Mr. Andronicos has been promising a start up airline service since 2004 under many different names. We found out that he had painted his name on the tail of another operator at one time but had no ownership of the aircraft. EVERYONE WE HAVE SPOKEN WITH DESCRIBES THIS MAN IN TWO WORDS " CON MAN "!!!
We just found out that he had to take down his website site due to illegal use of certain FAA and DOT prohibited words that eluded to charter and passenger authority. It is hard enough in the aviation business to get work but to have your time wasted by a miscreant such as this nefarious character Mr. Andronicos is simply inexcusable. Why the government does not simply put con men such as these is a mystery to us all.
This man and his company are just a giant fraud and should be avoided at all costs. A lot of people have their time and money wasted by this delusional aging wanabe
