Vacations Register is a time share resale and time share rental company who promote themselves as being different from all the other time share resale companies. They use Ed McMahon as a celebrity promoter and market extensively.
But... Bottom line is they do not do what they say they will do. I was contacted by a salesperson who said they needed my timeshare weeks for their rental pool as they had an immediate need they could not fulfill. They also said because of the number of weeks I own they would be used for trades with potential buyers of timeshare weeks. I was led to believe my weeks would rent immediately and was pressured to make payment so they could turn them over the upcoming weekend sales promotion as they would otherwise be short of inventory.
Should have known that when I counter offerred to give them the first week rental as commission rather than pay up front and it was turned down that I was getting suckered. This was back in November '03 and it was the last I heard from anyone from the company.
I'm reporting them now as I have made several attempts to resolve my disattisfaction with them via phone and email with no reply. The real kicker in this is that if you visit their website and were going to try to rent any of my weeks it would be next to impossible to find them due to the way they have structured their search engines.
So they got my money and I never expect to rent a week through these people, or get my money back from them, but hopefully anyone who is considering working with them will read this and think twice. There are better sites to work with if you are thinking of selling or renting your timeshares. Do some heavy research before dealing with these or any other company in timeshare sales who promise to sell or rent your property but require an upfront fee.
