I paid for a room at Coral Sands and the place was a dump. That did not bother me, however. What really made the trip a disaster was the itchy red colored bugs crawling next to my head. I completely freaked out because I am pregnant and was terrified they were crabs. There were several different bugs all of sizes and colors. Some were brown, some were red, some were almost clear or white looking. I did not notice the bugs until after I already laid down in the sheets. My boyfriend asked for them to move us to a different room. They said none were available since it was fourth of july weekend.
All hotels surrounding us were also booked so we had no choice but to stay there. We asked for clean blankets but the people at the desk refused. We lastly asked for our money back and they threatened to call the cops on us. We called the cops first but there was nothing they could do. The cops told me to take pictures and videos, which i did and I do still have them saved. I am still itching from bug bites from this incident. I have called everyone I can think of. Dhec, better business bureau, police, etc. Please help me. Please. There has to be something I can do about this. I was up spraying for bugs all night until 5 am just so I could get some sleep. It made my skin crawl even more to find more bugs in the bed the next morning. What can be done?
