Please learn from my sad experience with this company. My wife and I responded to their sales meeting with the enticement of a free airplane ticket which we thought we could use to attend our son's graduation. The ticket had so many conditions and required such an open schedule that it was worthless to us and we ended up just throwing it away. But the worse was yet to come. We did enter into a contract and ceded to them our Mayan Palace timeshare membership we had paid $17,000 for, we paid $400 upfront and entered into a contact with monthly payments to pay off the remaining $4000. The interest was 19.8% which means that $56 of our $109 monthly payment went to finance costs. I tried to cancel my contract, but I was a day late and they said it could no longer be cancelled. We continued to pay, but soon found because of the economic downturn our business fail and our home up for foreclosure. I called member services many times, was hung up on and left messages that were not returned. I finally spoke with Brittney Bincent, Supervisor of Member Services — but her (and their) response was coldly that the contract was for a lifetime and could not be broken. I never used their services, they received incredible value from me but were totally intractable in canceling my contract even though I now have no ability to pay them or use their services. Please be warned that these people have no heart as is obvious from their interest rate, bogus gifts and unwillingness to respond to their client's real needs. You are apparently signing your life away and their contract to them is a law of nature that can't be voided. Please avoid them and warn others. Thank you for reading this.
