Travel Values Plus (through BizRate) Fradulent marketing techniques

I visited a site called BizRate to do some comparison shopping. Somehow, I was signed up for Travel values plus, without my knowledge or consent. I must have made a purchase through one of the stores listed on BizRate, because Travel Values plus had my credit card and address information. They began charging me $7 a month for my "membership."

After contacting my credit card company, I did a little more research into the company and found numerous complaints about them all over the Web. I also found a phone number, which I called. I explained to the customer service rep what the problem was and was able to have my "membership" cancelled and received an email shortly thereafter verifying that my money would be refunded.

So, although I believe that Travel Values plus, has fradulent marketing and membership practices, you can, if you are an aware consumer, have the charges refunded.
