If you ever been to Cancun airport you know it sometimes is a bit hectic with many sales people tugging at you as you try to get out. On two previous trips we have prescheduled taxis to pick us up. One never showed and the other made us wait 45 minutes.in both instances we arrived at 9:30 pm.in February we decided to go with Grayline since they are at the airport already. I emailed them and was quoted $53 one way to our hotel, Excellence Puerto Mujeres. The sales person from Grayline, Juan Canto Gomez, told me to just go to the counter in the airport. When we arrived at the Grayline counter in Cancun we were told the price was $80. I showed the woman the email from Juan and there was alot of debating. We were handed over to the supervisor and he claimed he nev3er heard of Juan and the price was $80. He added it just went up. Mind you Juan's email was from the day before. After arguing for about 30 minutes, we settled on $60. Grayline is a scam with no accountability. With the US dollar more favorable these days to the Peso we should be getting a break. I will never use Grayline anywhere again. And chaulk up to the higher priced private car from the hotel and at least get the service.
