I received an email via CareerBuilder.com about a Part-Time Assistant Manager Position with Lexyl Travel Technologies Inc. The ad was short and asked for interested parties to email a resume. I received a lengthy email back from Mr. Morris about the position and next steps. It also had two attachments - a Job Description and an Employment Agreement with all of Lexyl's contact information as the header. I read both attachments, but there were some things that did not quite make sense.
Because I have experience scams in the past, I did research on the company. I looked at the company web site and searched here on usacomplaints.com and everything appeared to be on the up and up, but something just wasn't sitting right with me. So, I contacted Lexyl Technologies to attempt to get confirmation. They informed me that James Morris is not affiliated with them, that he has in fact been running a scam using their information via CareerBuilder.
