Made a reservation thru the American Airlines website, paid in advance for 2 nights.
Arrived at Motel and was told that we would not be allowed to check in unless we let the clerk make copies of our drivers licenses for their files. I had shown the confirmation EMail that I received from AA Travel and the same credit card that I used to book the room.
The clerk and the manager were both black, spoke broken English and appeared to not like or trust Caucasian American citizens.
We left, went down the street and rented a room at the Quality Inn, no problem — no ID copies required.
The charge is being disputed thru Citi Bank, AA Travel offered no help and we were obviously discriminated against. Being white is not always easy.
Stay away, these sort of people sell your info and steal your identity.
