We had the same experience as Mary reported, but from the Cabo San Lucas location. We have tried disputing through our credit card, but with no luck. We also attempted to use our $399 voucher for a cruise for two. The rate quoted for the cruise including the 'taxes and port charges' was nearly $800 - double what the certificate advertised.in addition, HSI tacks on an additional $119 per person 'port charges' over and above what Carnival charges. I was able to book the exact same cruise through the Carnival website directly for less than what I was quoted using my 'discount certificate'.
We also attempted on several occasions to book rooms through HSI. The response to every request was 'not available'. We tried different resorts, in the Caribbean and also ski resorts, and were requesting off-peak dates and nothing was available.
I am in the process of contacting an attorney to file a claim to get back our $2,200.00 we paid for this.
