During a recent stay at the Meadowmere Resort in Ogunquit, Maine, nearly $400 was stolen from my wallet after I left the room. The management has covered up for the housekeep who took my money by coming up with a story that 1) my wallet was found in my room but the cash was missing, then 2) my wallet was found outside my door with the cash missing, then 3) my wallet was found in a first floor hallway (where I never was, period), with the cash missing.
I wouldn't feel safe staying there again. It's one thing to have your housekeepers stealing, but to have management participate in a cover up? Who knows where these dishonest folks will stop?!!!
