On 08/12/08, I made a flight reservation using the Expedia website. The original flight date was for 08/25/08. However, on 08/16/08, I postponed the flight date to 04/06/09. So, I changed the departure date with the price of $1143 as shown on their website. The website required me to contact the customer service department to make any changes on my travel plan. When I spoke to one of the representatives, he advised me that the new fee will be $1992.70. However, when I got my credit card bill today, it was shown as Expedia charging me for 08/25/08 and 04/06/08 in the total amount of $3016.30.
I called the Expedia Customer Service Department again today to dispute this amount. The agent told me that the flight charge for 04/06/08 is $1992.70 and the original fee of $1023.60 still applies toward my billing.in other words, the Expedia never postponed my flight and it is non-refundable (although their website does not imply that I am not to postpone or cancel any reservations).
