Ripoff! Ripoff! Ripoff! Do not pay them a dime! Pompano beach florida

I signed up with Resorts Marketing International back in December. We were told they would have no problem renting our weeks. We had a Maz-Pak Plan at the Mayan Palace Riviera in Cancun, Mexico which included 2 weeks in there and 2 weeks in Acapulco. They told us they could get $1010 for each week. Since that time they have not rented the property ONCE!!! Amazing! Nearly 5 years and no one wanted to rent it. All those spring breaks, summers, winters, etc. NOTHING!!! Nada!!! How is this possible!?!? I'll tell you. It's a ripoff. I've called to complain starting last year and have been told the same as others apparently. "We'll put you at the top of the list." "It should be renting soon." "We've had several inquiries, but no one has put any money down yet." The list goes on. And get this. Three weeks ago I called and asked them to list it for $400 just to cover the maintenance fee for the year as I won't be able to use it this year. Still not one call. Hmmmmm, top of the list and a timeshare rental at a top resort in Mexico for only $400. Less than $60 a night for a top resort in Mexico and they can't rent it. What's wrong with this picture? It gets even better. Last week I called using a fake name and inquired about a timeshare rental at the Mayan Palace Riviera in Mexico where I have my timeshare and I was told they would pass my information on to their travel agents and someone would contact me within 24 to 48 hours. What kind of travel agency has you wait that long? None that I've ever heard of. Well, needless to say the time came and went and I never got a call. I called again today (6/23/08) and told them I called last week and hadn't heard from anyone. They told me it shouldn't take that long and they would send it to the travel agency and would call me back right away. Surprise, Surprise! No call all day. I'm just dying to see if they do call me back, will they offer me my resort "at the top of the list" and for only $400. We'll see.in the meantime, stay away from this company! I'm going to speak to a lawyer and see what's involved in filing a class action law suit. If anyone else has any information on a class action lawsuit, please let me know. My email is
