Scammed by VIP travel AGAIN! Free Rent a car is just as useless as free airfare

I 1st filed a consumer complaints on the free airline tickets offered by VIP for attending their sales meeting as useless. I have now found out, at the expense of $75 of my hard earned money, that the free 7 day car rental is just as useless. I read the fine print on my certicate very carfully and then sent Greenbrier Promotions of Pigeon Forge Tn a $75 deposit on my free rent a car. No where in the fine print did it have any restrictions except you must give a 40 days advance notice.

In the mean time I called VIP travel and talked to Cathy about my useless free airline tickets. Cathy kept complimenting me on the way I treated her on the phone and my calm manner. The next day she called back and left me a message that she was willing to offer me a $100 gas card instead of my promised free airline tickets.in exchange I was to sign a form dropping the formal complaint I have filed with the South Carolina Consumer affairs department against VIP travel. Do you think 2 airline tickets are worth more than $100?

The next day I received my rental car reservation form from Greenbrier promotions which required me to submit 3 separate travel dates. I admit I was upset. I called cathy back. I was not rude or did not abuse her but I was upset. I told her about the useless rental car and she again offered me the $100 gas card. She ask me if I was accepting the gas card. When I said "no" she hung up on me.

The silver lining, if their is one is the rental car form does say that If I can't submit 3 travel dates I can request a refund of my $75 but I am skeptical I'll ever see my money back. At any rate I don't want my $75, I want my free rent a car.

I encourage everyone that has been scammed or ripped-off by VIP travel to file a formal complaint with the South Carolina departmant of consumer affairs http://www.scconsumer. Gov / and the consumer affairs department of the state where you attended the sales meetting. If anyone can tell me where any of their future sales meetings are located please let me know so that I can legally pickett them.
