On Saturday, March 15, my daughter and her family arrived on flight NK921 from New York to Myrtle Beach for a visit. We were waiting for the flight to come in at Myrtle Beach airport.
The sign announcing their flight arrival lit up and noted that the baggage would come in at kiosk 2. While waiting for the luggage to arrive we watched other arrivals on different airlines collecting their luggage without problem. An announcement came over the loudspeaker in their name to come to another location to collect their baggage. Meanwhile nothing had appeared on kiosk 2.
My husband went with them to the stated location and a very rude Spirit Air employee told them they had left their luggage too long (they had arrived 10 minutes prior) and she was about to report it to airport security. Note that no luggage had appeared to that point. My husband said we had been waiting in the assigned place and she replied that she was going to call the police. He advised her to go ahead as he would like to report her.
We have never encountered such rude treatment in all our years of travelling. This airline needs to be reprimanded for the bad treatment of travellers and people need to boycot them.
