GreatEscapes Vacation Club
This Travel Club is a Complete and Total Rip-Off

I was invited to see this vacation package, it was only suppose to be 90 min but ended up over 3 hours and signed a contract since it sounded like a fantastic deal.in this demonstration they showed all kinds of great deals that are not available, that we found out about after we tried to book a vacation. After talking to a cutomer service rep. And being completely humiliated and talked down to I lost my temper and threaton to go down there with a baseball bat. I told them we just want our money back since they didn't deliever what was promised. I called the next day and talked to some one on the board and he informed me that they were thinking of putting a restaining order against me and that they will not let us out of the contract our the club. We found a cancelation claus that we have rights to cancel at any time for any reason, we send this letter and copy of contract to them in there main office in Lakewood, Florida. We still have had no response from them. Luckly my wallet was stolen and I canceled the credit card that they had set up for the automatic deductions. Now I am getting calls from a company called FairFinance and they are trying to collect the remainder of the enrollment fee. The balance is $4045.00 but already they were able to charge from our credit card down payment of $675.00 and annual membership dues $199.00. We have never used there services. After investigating there deals we found much cheaper deals online with no extra added fees. We will not give them any money ever, I plan to report them to the District Attorny, and I am trying to get a TV advorcate to expose them on local TV. We also have reported them to the Better Business Burea. And we are also going to contract the Federal Trade Commision about there practices. We have found many complaints against Great Escapes Vacation Club on line. On the web site
crimes-of-persuasion. Comt here is a article about "the FTC settlement that states Grat Escape Vacatios & Tours, Inc will be required to pay $145,000 in consumer redness, $18,500 in receiver's fee's and expenses, will be enjoined from any future violations and post performance bonds of up to $150,000 before either selling travel-related services or coducting telemarketing activities".

We just want our money back, and our good credit untouched.

We will not give them any money, however. No way.
