My Mother come up to Daleville, AL for my wedding and stayed in a suite at the Econo Lodge in Daleville, AL on the night of 01 June. She changed for the wedding and left her alarm clock, a T-shirt and blue jeans in the room. She checked out on the way to the wedding.
Then on 03 June while on her way back to Jacksonville Florida she realized she left some personal belongings in the room. She called and spoke with Willy who stated he had her belongings and would hold onto then for 30 days.
When I returned from my honeymoon my mother drove up from Jacksonville FL to visit and to retrieve her personal items on 30 June. The Econo Lodge could not find her personal belongings, which they had stated they had and would hold.
Now she is out for the cost of her personal belongings, the alarm clock was of sentimental value, and the cost of gas to drive 300 miles each way to retrieve her belongings.
The management of Econo Lodge in Daleville, AL refused to speak with us until the police were called. The General Manager showed up and gave us an attitude like it wasn't her problem and she doesn't care. After all why should Econo Lodge care they already took her money, and her personal items.
