Paradise Vacations (aka AWBCO)
Ripoff consumer fraud

In June, I received an authorization charge against my debit/credit card and I never heard of the company before (AWBCO). On the transaction I had a phone number of 866-633-7492. The transaction was for $6.95.

I called the number, was greeted by a recording referring to themselves as "Paradise Vacations", then I was transfered to a human being on the other end. I was asked for my name and phone number, and I was advised that I was being refunded. I didn't even have a chance to do anything but answer questions. Before the teller hung up, I asked what the company sold. I was told they had no answer. I asked for the company address and was given an address in Gilbert, AZ. No name of the company itself or phone number to reach them directly.

August 6, the authorization formerly posted to my account. Again I called the same number. This time I was transferred to voicemail to leave my name/address/and phone number to be contacted. Still no contact, however the initial greeting now says something about a Bahama trip.

I believe that the company is a front for ripped-off credit card numbers and I am a victim. I imagine I won't be the first/only one.
