Upon booking my hotel in Las Vegas with Expedia.com for my first (and last) trip there, I was offered a shuttle ride round trip to the airport for $9.99 so I accepted.
I expected the typical shuttle that rental car companies like Enterprise have, that run every few minutes.
Instead I found no such shuttle and since it was only 1 mile to downtown I took a cab for $10 tip one way.
I expected to take the shuttle back however and my hotel room had a card that said "the shuttle runs daily from 6AM to 9PM every 30 minutes".
I called the front desk to ask where it was and they told me to be there at 6 to catch my 8:30 flight (we now need 2 hours in advance).
However there was no shuttle at 6AM and I luckily was told by a Starbucks employee that I had to call for the shuttle using the phone on the wall.
I called and they said they could never be there for even 6:30 and couldn't be there until 7 and they weren't responsible if I missed my flight.
They then sent me instructions that I never received that said CALL FOR THE TAXI 24 hours in advance! Who ever heard of such a thing? Then they claimed it was tough luck and despite my spending $400, wouldn't refund the $10 for the cab I never took. This company is the cheapest bunch of nickel and dimers I've ever encountered.
