Booked through Travelocity and what a mistake! First the main lobby had such a horrible odor that after I checked in I felt sick to my stomach. That should have been the red flag.
Got to our room at 1am after driving 17 hours with 2 kids and was never so disgusted in my life. Open the door and the same odor (musty, moldy dirty) hit my family. Turned on lights only to see all the dead bugs in and around them, the carpet that I think was supposed to be green was black - couldn't have ever been cleaned. No dresser so everything had to be put on the floors which worried me because of the bugs. T.V. Was an extremely old tube with no remote. Bed linens were stained and stunk like everything else. Fridge was rusty and didn't work and the supposed safe in the room had no lock. The sink counter top was falling off the wall because the base was rotted and broken and the bugs that were on it added a nice touch.into the toilet area - Door was rotted at the bottom so it would not close, HAIR all over the place including on the ceiling in the shower, shower wall, floor and ledge. Vent in the bathroom was covered in rust and the once white floor was BLACK! Light mounted on the bathroom wall was also filled with bugs! Turn lights out and realize that the door to the outside didn't shut all the way so light came in all around and really how safe was my family in a room where the door doesn't close properly? Morning comes I go to get coffee and seeing the place in day light was worse then at night. Walking the halls I realized I should have been carrying mace or a baseball bat. Not a safe place for a woman or families. Breakfast was the most disgusting thing that has ever been slopped on my plate... Needless to say it went uneaten. The supposed chefs were dirty and rude. All the floors and tables were covered in food and dirt forcing us to take what little we had outside. There is no way this hotel has a management staff that takes any pride in what they do. Management needs to try and spend the night in one of these rooms. I have considered calling the health dept. On the property because there is no way that it is safe. Front desk staff was just as dirty looking and rude as the rest of the place and really couldn't care about anything you had too say. Every time I asked to speak to a manager I was told they would be in in 15 minutes. I believe that is just a rehearsed answer because management can't be bothered either. If you ever stay in this hotel plan to wash everything and debug before you go into your home. Absolute worst experience of my life. Quality inn thatnk you for ruining my first family vacation. There is nothing quality about this place. Don't be fooled that they attach universal to their name. I believe that if universal saw this they would have a major issue that their name is being used to sell this hotel.
