I was visiting family in Green Bay, WI recently. Looked on the net for a reasonable hotel. Found this Days Inn. Also found listed on the www.daysinn.com website, a promotion that you printed, and it gave you $5 off your first nights stay.
When I checked in and presented this, I was told "You can't use that here." Nowhere did it say on the site that it was "only valid at participating hotels."
The check in person told me there was nothing she could do, so after I got back home, I sent an email to Days Inn corporate offices. Yes, it is only $5, but I dont like being scammed. I received a generic, templated reply, telling me each Days Inn is independently owned and operated, and it is up to each hotel whether or not they honor the regional promotions. Again, not stated in the fine print.
I would recommend NOT staying here. The hotel is old and the rooms are pretty dumpy. For the same price, even excluding the coupon, you could stay at the Microtel Inn in Green Bay, which has a mini waterpark and is only a couple years old. I found this out after the fact...
