I booked a flight for my mother in law to fly out of the country to visit her dying father. The flight was booked through my credit card but all her contact information was used since she was the passenger. My credit card was charged immediately & a confirmation email was received so we thought everything was set. 2 days before the flight my mother in law asked about her seat assignment so we go online to check & we get notification that the flight reservation was cancelled. When we called to find out what happened we were told that they tried to get in touch with us to confirm my credit card information & cancelled the reservation because they "couldn't reach me". This made absolutely no sense... in this world millions of people make online purchases with credit cards & no one gets called to verify their card information. This was absurd! We requested to reinstate the flight for the same days & flight number at the same price... Seeing as there was no good reason for them to cancel the reservation in the first place. The rep refused. We ended up asking for managers to speak with because no one was helpful & everyone was impossible to understand... The accents were too thick & shouldn't have been customer service agents. All 5 reps gave us the same stupid speech about there's nothing they can do... Which was clearly scripted. These people wanted to charge $900 for the same flight we had purchased for $455. This was the absolute worst customer service/travel booking experience I've ever had. I've booked many flights through Expedia & have never had any issues. I would NEVER use or recommend Travelocity to anyone ever!!!
