Complaint / Review
Axis World Travel
Ripoff, intent to defraud

On July 10 my husband and I attended a sales presentation for Axis World Travel Inc. They had called us many times to schedule and we finally attended.

What they offered was a travel club with a lifetime membership. What we would receive were wholesale cost for any travel. We paid $5990 for our membership. Being skeptical, I did my homework and checked the website for the Arizona Better Business Bureau. They were a member in good standing and there were no complaints at that time.

Because of my vacation scheduling we had not yet taken advantage of our membership. On October 22 we received an e-mail advising us that they were closing their office and transferring our membership to Ocean Blue Travel Inc. This was the 1st communication we had received from them since joining. We never received any newsletters (as was promised) or any e-mails with featured travel.

I called Ocean Blue on Oct. 23. They said they were taking over the membership but had not received any money from Axis. They said they had heard about the members plight and was doing this as a good will business decision. They informed me that Axis was filing bankruptcy. I gave them my information and they said a membership kit would be sent out in 10 business days. I was to review it and sign it if I wanted to become a member. They said there would be no fee. I have not received any further information from Ocean Blue.

I was unable to reach Axis after I received the e-mail because of receiving a fast busy. I assume they were disconnected. Through information on the Better Business Bureau website, I found that the registered owner for the Axis website was the same as Ocean Blue (see attached) Nancy Walsh. I find this fact very suspicious. Further more I have not found any bankruptcy filing for Axis World Travel

Based on that information, I contend that Axis World Travel sold travel memberships with the intent of never fulfilling their contractual obligations. They knew they were going to go out of business and still continued to sell memberships. I want my money back.

I have also filed a complaint with the Arizona & California State Attorney Generals offices.
