I turned in my scuba equipment to be serviced approximately on 6/3 and was told on 6/20 my equipment would be ready. On 7/23 I finally returned to the shop after multiple inquiries of my equipment to find out that it was still not serviced or getting ready to be serviced. I wanted my equipment back and without hassle I did receive my regulators, buoyancy control vests back but was informed my tank was still at the servicing center. This is the 4th time I was told that my tank was still being serviced. After inquiring several other scuba divers and one other dive shop in the Reno area they all confirmed that tanks at the longest were taking three weeks tops to get back.
I told Tropical Scuba that I wanted my tank back and I did care if it was serviced or not it was taking way to long. They told me they would call me when they got it back. I still have not received a phone call and I am frankly tired of going in there over and over in order to get told the same story. I will never go to this scuba shop again or send people to this shop. If you look them up on the Better Business Bureau website they already have an F rating. I wish I would have looked this up before attempting to have my equipment serviced by them. I am lucky I stopped this before I did because if the service is this bad I don't want to chance the maintenance failing on me when I am 70ft underwater.
