Dealingwith Maggie Baum of CNC Specialty Products, aka Blackburn Machine is an appalling, untrustworthy experienceWhen a business representative is untruthful to a customer, they have no respect for the customer. Repetitive untruths is a slap in one's face.
I ordered a trigger assembly and made immediate payment. It took3 weeks to receive it. For 2 months, (11 weeks,) I tried to get a refund for thereturn of this an unused item. What I got, and its all documented, is one lie after another. Bullsh*t upon bullsh*t and repeated broken promises. Promises again and again to mail my refund. Thesame day, the next day, the next week, oh tomorrow, the day after, etc... Therefund was never mailed. All were untruthful, deceitful and pacifyingstatements. Paypal was involved and their several emails and phonemessages were ignored. Over an 11 week period, I made 25 email requests for refundpayment. She responded to 3. The 3 responses were lies to make immediatepayment, delay tactics, more promises and false assurances. All intentionalliesknowing all along she herself did not have the refund money. And knewshe was not to send it that day, the next day nor days or weeks later. I wrote her and bluntly asked why she lies, deceives, makesfalse promises, etc. No response.in the 3 responses throughout this 11 week ordeal, I wasgiven excuses of being ill and ill again. An illness precludes a refund??? InitiallyI was sympathetic. Finally, 6 weeks later on 8/31/10, I receivedthe third response. We are very short on cash. I will get you refund to you in thenext couple of days. That was 6 weeks pastand still no refund. Being short on cash is their problem and they made it mine. I, too, am short on cash. When one legally owes money to another and refuses to payit, they are stealing. Thievery. Giving bullsh*t, false information, emptypromises and untruths is deceitful, this is Maggie BaumCNC Specialty Products was reportedto the Utah Division of Consumer Protection. This agency supports the Utahstatute of a 30 day refund period. When their contact is ignored, a citation isissued with a fine and the refund still needs to be paid. I informed Maggie Baum of my intent to file the complaintwith the UDCP. No response and then having filed it. Still no response. Be it a valid legal complaint to a state agency or numerous personaldemands for refund payment, she just does not care. I informed her of my intent to post this report onusacomplaints.com. She ignored it. Obviously, she feels her lack of personal funds makes herimmune to the legal obligations of paying refunds. CNC Specialty Products, operated by Maggie Baum (formally BlackburnMachine), is irresponsible and immature in this business transaction. PayPal and the UDCP concur with thisassessment. Maggie Baum is all about herself and performs at her ownpace: when she chooses to take action. I let her know that if she didnt have the money, be likeother people and go get a job. Or, borrow it from someone and owe them, not me. Simply, to pay her / her companys 2 1/2 month old legal debt. Ignored. Finally, after stating to make yet further agency reports, Iwas paid $50 via Paypal. She stated the balance of $60 would be mailed out in 2days and would provide me with a tracking #. She even asked for my mailingaddress!!! Despite 4 requests for this tracking # over the next 5 day period, none was provided and my requests were ignored. Now, 5 weeks thereafter andstill no balance of refund received. Liewhy would a debtor make partial payment via electronic transferand choose to mail the balance??? And then not mail it! When I posed the illogic of her inane statement/intent. Shedid not respond. Obviously, even havingthe $60 was a fabrication and an attempt to again pacify me.instead ofdepositing the money and making a full or another PayPal electronic transfer, she states mailing it with USPO tracking #???) Obviously, the $60 did not exist. Maggie Baummust think people are gullible, unassuming idiots. Clearly, she does not careabout anothers financial needs. Finally, on the last day of a grace period, she phoned me. She profusely apologized repeatedly stating she was sorry for how she treatedme, the lies, etc, etc and stated that she did not have the money BUT, wasgetting International funds the following day and would make an electronicpayment via PayPal. More promises. More bullsh*t. That was 5weeks past. Here we go again despite new daily emails and phonemessages reminding her of now more broken promises and new lies, she ignoredthese latest requests. Obviously, Maggie Baum thinks that if a debt or request forthat debt is ignored, it will go away or be forgotten. Their aged website has outdated contact information. And, a UtahState license lapsed 6 yrs ago. Over the years, they relocated a number of times, each time leavingdisconnected phone #s. CNC Specialty Products is an insult to honest people doingbusiness. Based on the aforementionedfactual scenario; they have no moral right to deal with the public. The company has a pathetic, dishonest and deceitful businessposture when it pertains to a refund.
