We ordered an o'neal helmet for 99.99 from golden west. With shipping it was 120.00. This was in the beginning of november. It was to be a christmas present. When we received the helmet it was the beginning of january. Also, it was the wrong item. I ordered a mens medium in blue. We got a childs small in gray.
When i called them i talked to a jerk named john. He tried to talk me into keeping this helmet because he said it was a more popular color. Then he said they had a different brand helmet that was a lot more expensive that he would send me for the same price as the cheaper helmet. Turns out it was in their catalog for the 99.00 price -the same price as the original helmet!!!
He tried to act like he was doing me a favor. Anyway, we could'nt get the new helmet until we sent the old one back and he received it and inspected it. This was another 3 weeks. I called back to find out why it had been 2 months and we had'nt received our new helmet. He said the helmet we sent back was damaged (it was never even taken completely out of the box)!!! He then said it would cost us another shipping fee of 20.00 and a 20% damaged fee.
Finally around april we got the helmet. 3 months after christmas, and the 99.00 helmet ended up costing us 160.00. They offered to send the damaged helmet back to show us the small scratch he said was there, but then we would have to pay to send it back again!!! We had no coice but to pay the extra fees because we would lose all the shipping money and still lose the 20% "damaged" fee.
What could we do??? We're in s.C. And they're in california. Don't ever buy from these people-you'll get so much run around you're head will spin!!!
