Recently after 1 year of Tae Kwon Do, my son (5 years old) decided he wanted to try another year. We really didn't have the money to pay all in advance so we opted for the 1 year payment plan which would allow us to pay for the class in installments. We did sign a contract and realized that we were doing so, however we did not realize that out son really was not interested in taking further classes. After a month, maybe two into the contract our son just has no interest in going anymore. After several attempts to get out of the contract I am writing this complaint in complete dissatisfaction with the holder of the contract and the Tae Kwon Do School. We have been told that we must continue to pay 100.00 dollars for the remainder of the contract, about 8 mos. Or so. I am not asking for the money we have spent to be refunded, I am event willing the pay Member Solutions the money they make off of the contract I just dont feel that we should have to continue to pay for a service that we are not going to use, a service that was provided for a 5 year old child. Be warned if your child is considering taking up this sport, I think it is a bit ridiculous to hold us to this contract. I have contacted the U.S. Tae Kwon Do College and they also say there is nothing they can do, however they want my son to come test for his next level belt even though he has not been to class.By the way, it cost $45.00 to test.
