I was a softball player for a fast pitch team in the Mid-West a couple of years ago and we signed up to do a fund raiser for our team by selliing merchandise for Team IP Sports at two State High School Championship events.
Our team worked hard for 5 days at two championships to raise money to pay for our new uniforms. As a group we were promised $2,500.00 for our efforts. However, It took Team IP almost a year and over 25 attempts for them to ever pay us the money that was owed to our team.
Our coach begged Mr. Randy Sparks to please pay us our money for our work and he just kept ignoring our requests. Our team paid our own way to be there and for our own food at the games. It was unbelievable to us that after all the money they were making off of the High School Association that they would not pay us what we were promised.
We finally had to take up money from our parents to pay for our uniforms when they arrived. Eventually, after being paid by Team "RIP You Off" Sports we were able to pay our parents back the money they had loaned us to pay for our uniforms.
I have also been told of other instances where they have recruited groups of kids to work events, short changed them and sometimes not paid them at all.
I would ask you to beware of this company, they have a terrible track record of paying people, regardless of if they are a youth group or a company. They pay really slow if at all.
